Arrive at Freetown International Airport. Our team meets you and it’s a ten-minute drive to Africa Waka Waka’s home-style hotel.

Day 2

The VIP ferry to Freetown

Cross to the capital in the ferry’s VIP cabin, with views of the mountains, the city skyline and the ocean. Check in at Mamba Point Hotel, our preferred partner on the corner of the Aberdeen beach area.

Day 3

Kekeh Tour™ & beaches

More of Freetown and your second Kekeh Tour. Choose your beaches: River Number 2, Bureh, Tokeh or Aberdeen. At night, the Aberdeen beach area comes alive.

Day 4

Mozza Resort

Total relaxation at one of the most beautiful resorts in Sierra Leone, via the Peninsula Highway and its incredible views of ocean and mountains.

Day 5

Floating day

Our story

An oasis of hope and prosperity.

Founder TY Kanu invested in tourism and hospitality because it is one of Sierra Leone’s biggest opportunities for shared prosperity. His own journeys home showed him the gaps, and Africa Waka Waka is his answer to them.

Lungi was chosen for our first resort because it is the gateway: every international visitor lands here, and it is a key place to build real tourism infrastructure. Most of our team are from Lungi, and every stay supports meaningful local work.

Our vision is a robust infrastructure for tourism in Sierra Leone and around Africa, one that can be used for:

Policies

Refund policy

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the trip start date are charged a one-time fee of only $10 per person.
Cancellations made more than 7 days but less than 14 days before the trip start date are charged a one-time fee of $30 per person.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the trip start date are charged a one-time cancellation fee of $120 per person.
Upon arrival in Sierra Leone, cancelling a room reservation at one of our preferred hotel partners incurs a fee of $75 per night, per room.
Cancellations within 48 hours of check-in time are not refunded.
We cannot refund a guest who deliberately chooses to abandon the tourism package to take part in activities beyond the scope of our business.
Any refund scenario not listed here is at the discretion of Africa Waka Waka.
